May 19 - Daddy A Go Go

May 19 - Daddy A Go Go Walk for Autism
Probably play around 10:30am

The idea behind Daddy a Go Go grew out of the joys and tribulations of hands-on parenting, and the realization that 'KIDS LIKE ROCK MUSIC' and that children are smart, so they need smart lyrics! So, with a guitar, 3 chords, one microphone, an old beat-up set of Slingerland drums, and a little multi-track recorder, the notion of Family-Friendly Rock and Roll Daddy a Go Go-style began to gradually take shape. Now -- many guitars, several microphones, even more guitars, the same old set of Slingerlands with new sticks, the same three chords plus a couple more, and then some more guitars, and several CDs later, we’re finally rocking, baby.

June 23 - Ralph's World

It's no secret that Ralph is our favorite children's musician...

June 23, 2007 - Ralph's World
10:30 am
Variety Playhouse
1099 Euclid Avenue
Atlanta, GA
(404) 524-7354

From the Ralph's World website:
Ralph's World is the musical place where little guys and gals and their folks can rock rock rock and sing sing sing along without overdosing on sucrose. You can go to the bottom of the sea to the driver's seat of a big rig to swinging on a jungle vine in just a few songs.

It's the creation of indie rocker and songwriter Ralph Covert, now residing in the Disney universe. The leader of Chicago's top local pop-rockers of the last decade, The Bad Examples, takes the same high energy and McCartney-esque super-melodic approach to children's music- basically only the lyrics are changed for the ears of the innocent.

The universal critical acclaim includes The New York Times, NPR, Parents Magazine, and a Grammy nomination for last year's "Green Gorilla" disc. His new CD-DVD from Disney Sound, "Welcome To Ralph's World!," was released October 3rd.
